"Politics Can Be Murder" by Dan Marois (5 cast
member)
- A Mystery for Hire original script! “Politics Can Be
Murder” covers the Senate campaign of incumbent, Warren Hardstuff who
is being challenged by Hilton Paris III, an up and coming opponent. The audience
is also introduced to Hilary Hardstuff, the Senator’s opinionated wife,

who has political ambitions of her own. A political junkie's dream come true
as there is actually a political debate where questions are taken from the audience.
"Marriage Can Be A Mystery"
by Matt Jablow-
(7 Cast Members) - If you think there were mishaps at your own wedding, wait
until you come to the marriage of Sam Zardo and Rachael Levine! The caterer
is running late, Momma Zardo is missing her left shoe, and people are finding
it curious that the bride has no living relatives attending the wedding. (Or
dead ones either!) The groom is on edge, Poppa Zardo is a basket case and his
son, Roger, suffers from multiple personality disorder. (It runs in the blood
line...many times over.) If that’s not enough, there’s a few secrets from the
past that will come to haunt this wonderful occasion.
Audience members enjoy all the fun, frolick,
and craziness that takes place at a wedding. But watch out...you might end up
doing the dollar dance or you might have to fill in for the priest who’s missing.
No matter what happens, you’ll soon realize that "Marriage Can Be A Mystery!"
"Murder Most Medieval"- by
Jim Daab (7
Cast Members) - Welcome to the coronation of King Ronald, Lord of the Ville.
Prince Ronald will be escorted by his lovely wife, the Princess, and Her Majesty,
the Queen, shall be accompanied by the Royal Tax Collector.
Shecky, the Court
Jester, is apt to provide some frivolity to the event!
So Lords and Ladies of the court, wash down your
fowl with some ale. But be forewarned! There’s a foul wind blowing in the Ville
tonight and not all will be saying "Long Live the King" or "Hail
To The Chief!"
In spite of the lack of light in the "Dark
Ages," this show proves that life was fun and frivolous as the common folk
frolicked with the likes of royalty. This show has a bit of bawdy humor that
makes it slightly nasty but ever so nice!
"Killing Mr. Withers."
- by David Landau (7 Cast Members) - Your guests will make an unexpected stop at the "Last
Chance Pump and Grill," a seedy roadside cafe in the middle of the Nevada
desert. Your tour guide, Rebecca, will do her best to keep you thinking about
your ultimate destination -- Las Vegas! In the meantime, you’ll be hosted by
the ever so cute, Veronica, your waitress for the evening, and her not so sociable
husband, Kurt. There’s a surprise at every turn as you meet an unusual
Russian
couple (Boris & Natasha...who else?) , the "barely alive" Mr.
Withers, and a local Sheriff who’s searching for a few missing people.
This show is rip-roaring fun with a country western
theme that’s sure to please.

"Zelda
& Zoe's Spirits of Suspicion"
by Dan Marois (5 cast members) -
Take a journey into the psychic world and the mystical arts as you join
"would be" psychic sisters, Zelda and Zoe. Whether it is
predicting the future, answering your profound questions of the unknown or
stirring up the spirits in the afterlife, Zelda and Zoe are sure to make an
impression. You'll also experience "the Channeler," the master
of channeling the forces of those living and not living. And don't
forget Moonbeam, a student of the psychic arts, who wants to be just like
Madame Zelda when she grows up...that's if she grows up. And don't be
surprised if your guests become an integral part of the psychic fun!
"Death With Father"
by Robert Lawlor Mattson with special arrangements
by Eldridge Publishing - (7 cast members) - The
premise is that Father Patrick O’Sullivan is holding
a bingo fundraiser to save "Our Lady of Almost Lost Causes Orphanage"
from the hands of the mob and from big city developers. When Judy Tremont, the
Church Secretary, is found dead, you must figure out who did it? Was is Jennifer
or Greg, the sweet young couple in love? Joey Verrichone, a man who makes the
Godfather look tame? Bunny & Claude, the big city slickers? Or is it Father...himself?
Audience members actually play bingo in this
highly popular show. (This has proven the most popular for a wide range of ages
and tastes.)
"Cafe Noir"
by David Landau
(7 cast members)
- You’ll think you’re in the movie "Casablanca" when you show up in
the Caribbean at the infamous Cafe Noir. Rick Archer, Ace Detective, is out
to solve every crime that comes his way. (Of course, he graduated last in his
class at the John Jay College of Criminology!) You’ll meet smugglers, sex-pots,
and British lawyers...and you can’t trust any of them. Before the night is through,
you’ll be saying "Play it again, Sam" and wondering if you’ll be stuck
in this 1940’s mood piece forever.
This is the classic of all murder-mystery shows
with a big dose of intrigue and an international cast of characters.
"Who Killed Kill the Boss?" - by
Lee Adams
(6
cast members) - Welcome to the employee banquet of Margate Manufacturing, the
world’s number one supplier of widgets. Of course, you’ll be there with all
your fellow employees. There’s Larry Love, the company marketing whiz (and company
kiss-up), Lena Love, an aspiring employee from the steno pool, Carlotta
Battista,
the wise-cracking assembly line worker, and Harriet Krump, the 102 year old
company bookkeeper. (At least, she looks like she’s 102!)
As the celebration begins, there are a few unanswered
questions! Who will be Mr. Margate’s mystery date for this year’s banquet? Will
the boss survive the evening or will he get his "just desserts" by
dessert time? And most important, will there be a cost of living salary increase
in your next paycheck?
It’s a wild and frantic evening when your group
let’s loose with "Let’s Kill the Boss."

a suspect.
This show has the fun and excitement of a Hollywood
Awards Program with special awards given to your guests through the evening.
And an extra special treat is that each of your guests get their own personalized
Hollywood star name. (Our favorites include Izzy Breathing, Ima Tubesox, and
Patty O’Furniture!)
