Cast Members- (In order of years with the company)

Dan Marois - Poland Spring - Has performed in such favorites as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Professor Harold Hill in The Music Man, and Brick in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof.  Played Dr. Dan in Ziad Hamzeh's, Shadow GloriesServes as theatre

critic for the Sun Journal newspaper. Co-Owner and Producer of Main Street Entertainment and Mystery for Hire.  He's also

a communication specialist for the distribution and returns centers at  L.L.Bean..

Denise Marois - Poland Spring - Has performed on stage for the past 20 years in regional and professional theater.  Most recent appeared in Ziad Hamzeh's independent film, Shadow Glories Co-Owner and Producer of Main Street

Entertainment and Mystery for Hire. 

 

Katie Marois - Poland Spring - The youngest member of our crew recently performed as one of the wicked step-sisters

in the Broadway musical, Cinderella. She has been involved with the troupe since the tender age of 8.  She graduated in

May 2006 from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She's currently a resident technician at Renaissance House in Lewiston, a home for adolescent girls.  Appeared in Ziad Hamzeh's, Shadow Glories.

 

Robert LeBlanc--  Massachusetts - Another Mystery for Hire veteran, Bob is known for his zany characters, quick thinking

ad libs, and extraordinary humor. Bob is a writer, performer, stand-up comedian and improv comedy expert.

 

Bob Hazelton - North Yarmouth - Appeared in the movie A Man Without Face starring Mel Gibson.  Most recently played

the lead in On Golden Pond. He's Mystery for Hire's only Harley riding actor! He also has extensive screen time in Shadow Glories.

 

Harold Withee -  Boston- Cast member emeritus - - Appeared in the Academy Award Nominated Motion Picture In the Bedroom with Sissy Spacek and in the HBO film production of Empire Falls.   Performs in various theatre groups in Maine

and the Boston area. The Portland Phoenix named Harold one of the top100 notable people in Portland!

 

Julie Poulin - Monmouth- Julie is a veteran of mystery theater having recently returned to perform with Mystery for Hire.

She performs in Lights! Camera! Murder!, Marriage Can Be A Mystery, Politics Can Be Murder, and various other roles. 

Julie is known as a quick study in Mystery for Hire...like the time she was going to stage manage and then filled in

as an actor on the spot!   What a trouper.

 

Kathleen Nation - Monmouth- Kathleen has done lots of stage, film, and commercial work in Maine and other parts of the country. She's currently the Artistic Director for the Monmouth Community Players.

 

Kenn Sawyer - South Paris, Maine -- Kenn is an actor and director from the Oxford Hills area of Maine. His directing

projects have included Little Mary Sunshine, Moon Over Buffalo and Anything Goes. He's also appeared as Teyve in

Fiddler on the Roof. In the role of Mr. Margate in Who Killed the Boss? he has met his demise more times than

we can count.

 

Anne McVeigh Morin- Biddeford - A graduate of St. Joseph's College in Standish, Anne has acted and directed

numerous productions in the southern Maine area. Anne holds an MBA from USM, is a traditional Irish dancer, and

a student of martial arts.  She also does marketing for Martin's Point Health Center.

 

Chuck Waterman- Gorham -- Chuck plays a variety of roles from Larry Love in Who Killed the Boss? to Cairo in Cafe Noir

and the wonderful prince in Murder Most Medieval. He's currently the madcap Hilton Paris III in Politics Can Be Murder.

 

Brian Files - Gardiner - Brian is the jack of all trades at Mystery for Hire having played many different roles.  (Funny how

they all seem to be the odd ball characters!)  Audience members will remember Brian as the forgetful Greg in Death

With Father, the multicharacter role in Lights! Camera! Murder! and the outrageous Roger in Marriage Can Be Murder. 

He's performed with numerous theatre troupes throughout Maine and in areas around the country where his military

career brought him.

 

Ellen Peters- Actress, comedian, improv star and many other talents abound with Ellen. In the daytime, you'll find her

working at Bates College, but spare time can have her performing in shows throughout central Maine.  She's also an

Auburn, Maine City Councilor.

Tim Ryan - Lisbon -- Tim first became involved in acting in August of 1996 after being dared by his coworkers to audition

for a local community theater production of Dracula. He auditioned and received the role of Mr. Renfield, the fly eating

paranoid schizophrenic.  He made his Mystery for Hire return "debut" as George in "Politics Can Be Murder."  Tim had

the amazing experience of appearing in the HBO films production of Empire Falls where he performed with Ed Harris,

Paul Newman, and Aidan Quinn. 

 

Annette Bourque - Lewiston - Annette is well known in southern Maine theatre circles having performed for the Community Little Theatre in Auburn, the USM theatre, and The Public Theatre.  She's been a choreographer, costume designer,

hair designer, graphic artist, and actress in countless productions.  She made her Mystery for Hire debut as Hilary

in "Politics Can Be Murder."  

Jessica LeBlanc- One of the newest members of the troupe who has performed in Marriage Can Be A Mystery and she'll be stage managing the new show, "Spirits of Suspicion."
